I work with different media and choose the material suitable for the current topic.
My way of working has been very direct, rough and physical with a strong awareness of the chosen material. From the beginning on there has also been an obvious interest in constructions, perspectives and space. In earlier paintings and installations I’ve been working with stretching our comprehension of given perspectives on room and space- leaving the viewer as both spectator and participant in a world without distinct boundaries.
The last two years my approach has been rather contemplative, where as I’m searching to define the questions on a more articulate physical and mental level. Regardless of the material my attitude is to simplify the expression of my works, and most of them are site-specific made. I’m striving to create a visual and physical space where the visitor literary gets invited and the borders between sculpture/painting, installation and viewer vanishes.
